Chapter 5

The chapter starts off with Holden talking about the steaks they have every week to impress the parents who visit their kids. Later in the chapter, he talks about Allie, who had died from leukemia. He said lots of positive things about him which was again one of the few positive things he has said. He says how he slept in the garage the night he died and smashed all the windows. This stuck out to me because Holden is not a very emotional person. He acts like nothing makes him sad, but things like Jane and Allie really affect him.
